This blog is not just another "daddy blog." Sure I write about my son, but these pages are a record of my life. I don't just highlight the fun milestones like first steps, I also chronicle the "other stuff." The fights, the torment and the doubt that inevitably come with being a husband and father. It's not always puppy dogs and rainbows, but it is very real. And often there is beauty in the sadness, redemption in the struggle.

Me, too! My boy has been off the charts tall and skinny his whole life. Not so great when it comes to buying jeans constantly, and it’s going to be a nightmare when they don’t make the pants that have the adjustable elastic waist anymore, because his legs seem to grow every week but not his waist.
My stubby ass had nothing to do with it, since his dad is 6’3. By the time the boy is 10, he’ll probably be my height.
Wow, he’s a big boy. My lil man Stan had his 9 month appointment this morning. He weighed in at 18.5 lbs (10-25th percentile), 28 1/4″ long (not sure what the percentile is there), and his big noggin (at whatever it measured) is off the charts.
My son’s been getting longer and skinnier progessively since birth. Of course, his dad’s 6’5″ and skinny, so genetics might be up to something there.
