This blog is not just another "daddy blog." Sure I write about my son, but these pages are a record of my life. I don't just highlight the fun milestones like first steps, I also chronicle the "other stuff." The fights, the torment and the doubt that inevitably come with being a husband and father. It's not always puppy dogs and rainbows, but it is very real. And often there is beauty in the sadness, redemption in the struggle. Friday means it’s time to head over to Dad-Blogs for Fatherhood Friday. Tons of dads (and moms) are blogging like crazy and sharing some great insight over there on a weekly basis. That’s what [...] [...] I have an entire post planned regarding vacation before and after kids, but to be honest I’m too tired. I’ll get to it in a couple of days, I promise. Vacation was fun and I’m sad it’s over. Except in some ways I’m not. It’s a lot of work to take a 14-month-old to a [...] [...] I’m writing this as I stare at the sun rising over the White Mountains. The vacation house is absolutely gorgeous and the view from the gigantic window in the living room rivals any movie theater. Trees as far as the eye can see and not a neighbor in sight as we cherish our secluded 20 [...] [...] Starting today, I’m on vacation. It’s only a mini-vacation until Wednesday, but I’ll take what I can get. We’re going to New Hampshire, Jefferson, NH to be exact, which is pretty far north and not too far from Canada. We’ll be vacationing with some friends in a gorgeous house on 20 acres overlooking the White [...] [...] I have a bunch of pictures to post of the wedding and the reception, which is good because I don’t really remember the end of the reception. It was a very fun time, the bride and groom looked fantastic and their friends are a friggin riot. Let’s just say after 7 hours of open bar, [...] [...] |
