Will’s First No-No

This post also appeared on www.capecodonline.com/blogs in the opinion section of the Cape Cod Times, a division of Ottaway Newspapers, Inc.

I just watched Jon Lester throw a no-hitter against the Kansas City Royals…and my son watched with me.

I woke Will up for the start of the 9th inning and I swear it was like he knew what was going on. He was transfixed on the TV and we celebrated together as Lester got the final strikeout. From beating cancer to pitching a near-perfect game…it was a good night! For the Red Sox and for one of their youngest fans!!

  1. Congrats! I always think the kids’ first game with their dad is an out of body experience.(even if it’s a televised) We just took our then 5wk old to PacBell for his first (2 yr old’s 4th professional) game on Mother’s Day. (Moms & kids got to run the bases after the game) While the Giants infield is a mess this year, it was amazing to look @ my boys (hubby included) and get all tingly inside.
